Something to be – audacious

Published in War scars in my heart (2022) a Wingless Dreamer anthology that has been available through Amazon (the link to the

listing is embedded in the image below) – this work arose from the creative self-translation of material originally composed in Chinese.

Something to be – audacious

Audacity may be bold, daring and defiant,

synonymous – in part – with the 45th Tetragram of the Tàixuánjīng (‘Greatness’)

or associated with courage, strength and nerve.

Some may also consider it similar to courage, nerve and valour that could be –

in turn –

associated with bravery, health, sturdiness and durability.

The latter might be considered elements

of benevolence, vitality, morale, character and (氣 [‘life force’]).

Audacity could even be linked with ‘guts’ –

insofar as it (‘guts’) is a metaphor

for the inner container measuring, estimating and holding pramāṇa

(a Sanskrit term for ‘proof’ or ‘testimony’

applied in Buddhism to describe ‘valid cognition’).

The audacious may also be considered brave, courageous and undaunted

in a manner where bravery, health, sturdiness and durability

is characterized by being daring, bold, risky, certain and presumptive.

Is it possible that the brave, courageous and undaunted –

including soldiers –

dare or venture to healthy measurement, evaluation and pramāṇa?

Courage, bravery, strength and nerve

are measurements.

An inner container –

, vigour and mettle –

that is healthy, sturdy, durable and brave

is benevolent.

Health, sturdiness, durability, bravery, strength, nerve, and courage –

‘guts’ –

characterised by maturity, success, stability, honour, peace and excellence

is the container of greatness.

Bold, daring and defiant

courage, nerve and valour

is capably, willingly and confidently

excellent and resolute …

that is audacious.
